in Act to amend Chapter 884 of the Acts of Assembly of 1946, approved
March 28, 1946, as amended, which provided a charter for the city
of Charlottesville, by adding a section numbered 50.1, so as to incor-
porate therein by reference certain sections of the Code of Virginia.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That Chapter 384 of the Acts of Assembly of 1946, approved March
aes, Anas, as amended, be amended by adding a section numbered 50.1, as
ollows:
§ 50.1. The powers set forth in §§ 15-77.10, 15-77.19, 15-77.26,
15-77.31, 15-77.48, 15-77.50, 15-77.54, 15-77.60, 15-77.61, 15-77.63, 15-77.64,
15-77.65 and 15-77.71 of the Code of Virginia as in force on January one,
nineteen hundred sixty-two, are hereby conferred on and vested in the city
of Charlottesville. Should the powers granted by this section conflict with
any provision contained in Chapter 384 of the Acts of Assembly of 1946,
as amended, then the provisions contained in this section shall control.

2. An emergency exists, and this act is in force from its passage.
