Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That Chapter 16 of the Acts of Assembly of 1958, approved February
7, 1958, be amended and reenacted as follows:
The Governor, on behalf of the Commonwealth, is hereby authorized
to acquire by condemnation proceedings, in the manner and in accordance
with the procedure provided in Title 25 of this Code or in Article 5 of
Chapter 1 of Title 33 of this Code, all or any portion of that property
located in Richmond, Virginia, and having as its boundaries the east
line of Governor Street and Thirteenth Streets, the south line of Broad
Street, the west line of the right of way of the Richmond-Petersburg Turn-
pike and the north line of * the alley between Franklin Street and Main
Street for needed uses for the seat of State government.
