CHAPTER 37

An Act to authorize the State Board of Education, subject to the consent of
the Governor, to lease certain property held for the benefit of Virginia
State College.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. The State Board of Education, subject to the consent of the
Governor, is authorized to lease to The General Alumni Association of Vir-
ginia State College a parcel of land, of such size and dimensions as such
Board may determine, held by said Board for the benefit of Virginia State
College at its Petersburg site.

§ 2. Such lease shall be made upon such terms and conditions as
may be approved by the Governor and the State Board of Education,
provided that the form of any such lease shall be approved by the Attorney
General.

§ 3. Any funds derived by the lessor from the proceeds of any such
lease shall be paid into the State treasury.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
