CHAPTER 275
An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
10-125.1, relating to certain charges by the Department of Conserva-
tion and Economic Development for certain assistance to govern-
ments and agencies thereof, and to amend and reenact § 10-126 of
the Code of Virginia, relating to funds given or granted to the De-
partment of Conservation and Economic Development. rH 245]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a section
numbered 10-125.1, and that § 10-126 of the Code of Virginia be amended
and reenacted, the new and amended sections being as follows:
§ 10-125.1. The Director, with the approval of the Board, 1s author-
ized to fix and collect charges for planning services rendered counties,
cities, and towns, by the Division of Industrial Development and Plan-
ning. All such funds so collected shall be paid into the general fund of the
State treasury; provided, however, that any such charges made for maps,
photographs, plats or other prints or copies shall be based upon the actual
cost of materials only used in producing the same, and the funds received
therefrom shall be deposited in the State treasury to the credit of the
Department and may be expended for the replacement of such materials
so used.
§ 10-126. In addition to such money as may be appropriated to the
Department by law, the Director is also authorized to accept any funds
which may be given or granted to it, to be expended in such a manner
and for such purposes not inconsistent with the general provisions of this
chapter as may be specified in the terms of the gift or grant. All funds
given or granted to the Department for purposes of planning and devel-
opment, whether with or without conditions, are hereby appropriated to
the Department for carrying out the provisions of this chapter; provided,
that the Department is authorized to accept and retain, as reimbursement
for costs incurred in administering any program financed in whole or part
by a grant, such portion of such grant as may be permitted by the grantor.
