CHAPTER 177
An Act to authorize the school boards of counties to borrow from the
Literary Fund for the purpose of constructing school facilties to serve
a portion of the county; and to authorize the levy of taxes on property
in the magisterial districts served by such facilities for the purpose of
repaying the loan.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the
school board of any county, with the approval of the governing body of
the county, is hereby authorized to borrow from the Literary Fund for the
purpose of constructing school facilities in such county to serve a portion
of such county. Taxes on property in the magisterial districts served by
such facilities shall be levied by the governing body of the county and col-
lected for the purpose of repaying such loan. .
§ 2. Except as otherwise provided by this act all other provisions
ot aw relating to Literary Fund loans shall apply to the loan authorized
ereby.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
