CHAPTER 132

An Act to except and exclude from the provisions of §§ 15-504 and 15-508
of the Code, personnel employed to perform services under the provt-
sions of Chapter 3, Title 44 of the Code pertaining to civil defense.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. The provisions of §§ 15-504 and 15-508 of the Code of Virginia shall
not apply to any officers and employees of any county, city or town who
have heretofore received or may receive additional compensation from the
governing body of such county, city or town for the performance of
services in connection with the operation of civil defense pursuant to the
provisions of Chapter 3, Title 44 of the Code or pursuant to any other law.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
