Chap. 21.—An ACT to name a certain portion of route 55 of the State highway
system the John Marshall Highway. [H. B. 35]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
portion of route fifty-five of the State highway system, extending from
Gainesville, in Prince William county, via The Plains, Marshall, Linden,
Front Royal, Strasburg, thence to the West Virginia line in the direction
of Wardensville, shall be known as the John Marshall highway; and the
State Highway Commission is hereby authorized and directed to desig-
nate the same as such by appropriate markers.
2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with, or in conflict with
this act are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency or con-
flict.
3. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
