Chap. 918.—An ACT for the relief of Mary English, widow of a Confederate
soldier.

Whereas Mary English, widow of Matthew H. English, late private of
mpany “ B,” forty-seventh regiment, Virginia volunteers, who was
yunded in the late war and who has since the war died from the
ects of wounds and exposure received in the war, is disabled bv old
e, very infirm and is now indigent and unable to support herself,
d there is no one legally bound for her support; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That if the
id Mary English shall produce to the auditor of public accounts a
rtifivate of the judge of the county court of Stafford county certify-
¢ to the truth of the above facts, the said auditor is hereby directed
place said Mary English on the pension rolls at the rate paid widows
der the general pension law.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
