Chap. 917.—An ACT for the relief of John W. Weaver, a disabled Confederat:
soldier, of Augusta county.

Whereas John W. Weaver, a Confederate soldier, of Augusta county
was a true and gallant soldier during the late war, and was loyal t
Virginia; and
Whereas he was wounded during one of Jackson’s fights in the Valley,
d is greatly acitated from labor by such wound; and
Whereas t said John W. Weaver is aged and infirm, without means
support; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
unty court of Augusta county shall examine into the condition of
id John W. Weaver, and should it be that he has suffered and is
-“apacitated as above stated, and that he is needy and poor and should
ceive ald from Virginia; and if the county court of Augusta county
all send a certificate of facts to the auditor of public accounts, that
¢ auditor of public accounts shall place the name of John W. Weaver
the pension list, and shall pay him annually the sum of fifteen
lars on and after the first day of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
