Chap. 857.—An ACT to permit J. E. Payne, of Bath county, Virginia, to
register as a pharmacist without examination, and to practice pharmacy
within the county of Bath.

Whereas J. E. Payne, of the county of Bath, has been filling pre-
scriptions at his store in Germantown, Bath county, Virginia, for at
least ten years next preceding this date; and
Whereas it is abundantly shown that he is competent and qualified
to practice pharmacy, but has not been registered as a pharmacist
according to law; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
state board of pharmacy of the state of Virginia is hereby authorized
and required to register the said J. E. Payne as a pharmacist without
examination.
2. That the said J. E. Payne be, and he is hereby, authorized to
practice pharmacy within the county of Bath as if he had stood the
examinations required by law.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
