Chap. 793.—An ACT to repeal sections 2194, 2195, 2196, 2198, 2199, 2200, 2201,
2202, 2203, 2204, 2205, 2206, 2207, 2208, 2209, 2210, 2211, 2212, 2213 of the
code of Virginia, and to amend and re-enact section 2214 of the code of
Virginia with reference to inspection of cattle brought into the state from
south of state or federal quarantine line.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sections
twenty-one hundred and ninety-four, twenty-one hundred and ninety-
five, twenty-one hundred and ninety-six, twenty-one hundred and ninety-
eight, twenty-one hundred and ninety-nine, twenty-two hundred, twenty-
two hundred and one, twenty-two hundred and two, twenty-two hundred
and three, twenty-two hundred and four, twenty-two hundred and five,
twenty-two hundred and six, twenty-two hundred and seven, twenty-
two hundred and eight, twenty-two hundred and nine, twenty-two hun-
dred and ten, twenty-two hundred and eleven, twenty-two hundred and
twelve, twenty-two hundred and thirteen, of chapter ninety-nine of
code of Virginia, be, and are hereby, repealed.
2. That section twenty-two hundred and fourteen of the code of
Virginia be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 2214. When cattle are brought into this state from districts south
of or below the state or federal quarantine line in violation of the quar-
antine rules and regulations as prescribed by the state and federal au-
thorities, or the board of supervisors acting under the advice of the
state authorities, the burden of proof shall be on the person or corpora-
tion bringing them, to show that said cattle were not transported from
below said quarantine line or lines.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
