Chap. 774.—An ACT to direct and authorize county and corporation cou:(ts
to strike from the lists of lands returned delinquent for non-payment of
taxes, levies, &c., such as are erroneously thereon.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
judges of the county and corporation courts of the commonwealth be,
and they are hereby, directed and authorized to make careful examina-
tions of the records of tracts of lands and town lots returned delinquent
for the non-payment of taxes and levies and purchased by the common-
wealth, and strike from said records all tracts and lots which cannot be
located or which, for any reason, are improperly thercon, and certify the
same to the auditor of public accounts.

2. That the cominissioners of the revenue and the treasurers of each
county and corporation be, and are hereby, required to attend their
respective courts at the October term thereof and give all information
within their reach and control.

3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
