Chap. 676.—An ACT to protect mountain trout in the waters of Rappahannock
county.
Approved March 2, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful to kill, capture, or destroy in any way mountain trout in
any of the waters of Rappahannock county between the first day of July
and the first day of May of each year; and from the first day of May until
the first day of July of each year it shall be unlawful to catch mountain
trout in any said waters, except by angling with hook and line.
2. Any one violating the provisions of this act shall be fined not less
than five dollars nor more than twenty dollars for each offense, and may,
at the discretion of the court or justice trying the same, be confined in
jail not exceeding thirty days.
;" acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act are hereby re-
pealed.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
