Chap. 667.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act to prohibit hogs from
running at large in the county of Warren, approved February 14, 1898.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an act
of the general assembly of Virginia, approved February fourteenth,
eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, entitled an act to prohibit hogs
from running at large in the county of Warren, be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
$1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful for any hog or hogs or swine to run at large in the county
of Warren, except in all that portion of Fork district lying between the
north and south branches of the Shenandoah river, and west of the
following line: Beginning at a point on North river known as Bowman’s
ford and running with the county road to the brush bottom road near
Abbott’s gate; thence with the brush bottom road to the Dunkard
church near Fork Union; thence with the east branch of the county
road to Buck’s ford, near C. A. Simpson’s house; and thence with the
south branch of the Shenandoah river to the Page county line; and the
owner or owners of such animals who shall intentionally permit such
animals to run at large, in any portion of said county not above ex-
cepted, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
before any justice of the peace, shall be fined not less than one nor
more than five dollars for each offense.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
