Chap. 634.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Norfolk county
to provide against nuisances near the limits of cities and towns, and within
the villages of said county.
Approved March 5, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall be
lawful for the board of supervisors of Norfolk county to provide against
nuisances in said county, within two miles of the limits of each city and
incorporated town, and within villages and towns unincorporated, and to
require, by such resolution or order, as it may deem necessary and proper,
each owner or occupant of any premises within the same to keep in a
clean and healthy condition all privies or water-closets, and other places
creating a nuisance, and to prescribe a penalty for a failure so to do, not
to exceed five dollars per day for each day of such failure.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
