Chap. 632.—An ACT to regulate the hunting and killing or capturing of
partridges (or quail) in the county of Norfolk.
Approved March 5, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shal]
he lawful to kill or capture partridges (or quail) in the county of
Norfolk, between the fifteenth day of November and the first day of
February of each year.
2. It shall be unlawful for anv one to kill or capture partridges (or
quail) in the county of Norfolk, between the first day of February and
the fifteenth day of November of each year, or at any time to capture
them with nets or traps.
3. Any person violating this act shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and fined not exceeding ten dollars for the first offense and
twenty dollars for each additional offense. In each case one-half of the
fine shall be to the informer.
4. In any prosecution of a person for violation of this act, proof of
the possession of any such birds shall be prima facie evidence of guilt.
5. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.

6. This act shall he in force from its passage.
