Chap. 61.—An ACT to suthorize the school board of Jefferson township, in
Culpeper county, to borrow money.
Approved January 17, 1900.
‘1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the school
board of Jefferson. school. and magisterial district of Culpeper countr
be authorized to issue bonds to an amount not exceeding one thousand
dollars to run not exceeding ten vears, and bearing interest not exceeding
six per centum per annum, for the purpose of erecting good, suitable
substantial buildings in Rixeyville, to be used for school purposes, 11
the education of the white children of said district of school-goins
ave (five to twenty-one vears of age), and of buying lots or condemning
same on which to build same.
The board of supervisors of Culpeper county are authorized and em.
powered to levy a tax not exceeding ten cents on the one hundred dollar:
of assessable property of said district, as a special fund to be appropri.
ated annually to the payment of interest on the said bonds, and the ex.
tinguishment of the principal, until the whole shall be paid.
2. This act shall be in foree from its passage.
