the canal lying west of Granby street and between it and Randolph street,
or between it and Newton street, and convert the same into a public street.
Approved February 26, 1900.
Whereas by an act approved April twenty-eight, eighteen hundred
and seventy four, the councils of Norfolk city were authorized to drain

canal running from Granby street west; and

said city and the inhabitants thereof to make further changes in the
said creek or canal; therefore,

of the city of Norfolk are hereby fully authorized and empowered, when-
ever they deem proper, to close that part of the said canal west of
Granby street and between said street and Randolph and between it and
Newton street, and to convert the same into a public street.

pealed.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
