Chap. 525.—An ACT extending time of making returns of assessment for
Norfolk city until August 1, 1900.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the judge
of the corporation court of the city of Norfolk be, and he is hereby, au-
thorized and empowered, in his discretion, to extend the time of making
the returns of the assessment for the city of Norfolk, as provided in chap-
ter twenty-three of the code of Virginia, prescribing the mode of assess-
ment of lands and lots until August first, nineteen hundred.

2. This act shall be in full force from its passage.
