Chap. 468.—An ACT to authorize and empower the school trustees of Chatham
school district, of Pittsylvania county, to sell and convey certain lands.
Approved February 21, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That W. C.
Dyer, J. C. Taylor, and N. E. Clement, school trustees of Chatham school
district, or their successors in office, be, and are hereby, authorized and
empowered to sell and convey, in their discretion, any portion or part
of the lot of land owned by said school district in the town of Chatham
and adjoining the lands of the Chatham cemetery company, R. W. Martin,
and others. And in the event of a sale said trustees shall place the pro-
ceeds of sale of the lots so sold with the treasurer of said county to the
credit of the district school fund of said school district.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
