Chap. 388.—An ACT to confirm and vest in Lebanon Methodist Episcopal
church, south, of Spotsylvania county, Virginia, title to church lot occupied
by said church since 1810.

Whereas Thomas Cash and Nancy, his wife, together with John Turn-
ley and others, as trustees, granted and conveved, by deed of date May
seventh, eighteen hundred and ten, to Joseph Duerson, junior, John
Pearce, and John Libscomb, trustees, for the use of all moral licensed
ministers and members of every order and denomination of religious
worship whatsoever, a lot of land containing three-quarters of an acre,
more or less, in Spotsylvania county, near Brokenburg, Virginia; and
Whereas the Lebanon Methodist Episcopal church, south, has main-
tained a house of worship on said lot uninterruptedly since the seventh
dav of May, eighteen hundred and ten: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the title
to the said lot of land situated in Spotsylvania county, Virginia, now
adjoining the land on which stands the present house of worship of the
aforesaid church and particularly deseribed in the aforesaid deed of Cash
and others to Joseph Duerson, junior, and others, trustees, recorded in
Spotsylvania county records in deed book S, folio eighty-three, be, and
the same is hereby, vested in the said Lebanon Methodist Episcopal
church, south, and in its trustees for the time being and their successors.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
