Chap. 380.—An ACT authorizing the Dan river power and manufacturing
company to sell, transfer and dispose of its property, assets and rights, and
thereupon surrender its charter.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the Dan
river power and manufacturing company, a corporation chartered by
the judge of the corporation court of Danville, Virginia, be, and it 1s
hereby, authorized and empowered to sell, transfer and dispose of all its
property, rights, assets, rights under contract and under condemnation
proceedings, and franchises, as a whole or in parcels, to any person or
persons, natural or artificial, that may wish to purchase the same, and
upon the completion and consummation of such sale and transfer, the
charter heretofore granted to said company, as aforesaid, shall cease and
be surrendered without further act upon its part, except that it shall
continue for the enforcement of any rights it may have, or any liabil-
ties which it may be under.
2. ‘This act shall be in force from its passage.
