Chap. 375.—An ACT to enable the board of supervisors of Campbell county
to compromise the indebtedness of John J. Hughes, a surety on the bond
of E. S. Moorman, former treasurer of Campbell county.

Approved February 15, 1900.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
of supervisors of the county of Campbell be, and it hereby is, author-
ized and empowered to make such a compromise of the indebtedness
to said county of John J. Hughes, as surety on the official bond of E.
©. Moorman, former treasurer of Campbell county, as the board of
supervisors may, in its discretion, consider reasonable and proper.

2. Any and all acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act are
to the extent of this act hereby repealed.

3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
