Chap. 359.—An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of
Orange county to aid in the erection of a monument to the Confederate dead
of said county, on the court-house square, by contributing thereto a sum
not exceeding six hundred ($600) dollars.

1. Be it enacted by the general Emeril of Virginia, That the board
of supervisors of Orange county, Virginia, be, and it is hereby, author-
ized and empowered, if it be in the opinion of said board of super-
visors proper and judicious so to do, to contribute out of the county
funds a sum not exceeding six hundred ($600.00) dollars, to aid in the
erection of a monument to the Confederate dead of said county on the
court-house square of said county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
