Chap. 352.—An ACT to give county courts jurisdiction upon scire facias or
motion to revive judgments of justices of the peace.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That a scire
facias and motion may be brought or heard in the county courts of this
state to revive any and all judgments rendered by a justice of the peace
in such county in which such scire facias or motion is brought when-
ever there is an abstract of such judgment entered on the lien docket
in the clerk’s office of such court, or where a fieri facias issued upon such
judgment has been returned to said clerk’s office and entered on the
execution book, only in cases, however, where a scire facias or action
could be brought to revive a judgment rendered by a court of record
under sections thirty-five hundred and seventy-seven and thirty-five
hundred and seventy-eight of the code of Virginia.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
