Chap. 342.—An ACT for the relief of Abram P. Myers, a veterinarian of the
county of Rockingham.
Approved February 14, 1900.
Whereas by an act approved February twenty-seventh, eighteen
hundred and ninety-six, certain requirements were imposed upon per-
sons wishing to practice veterinary medicine afd surgery in the state
of Virginia; and
Whereas the said act further provides that all persons who, prior to
the first day of May, eightcen hundred and ninety-six, are practicing
veterinary medicine or surgery in this state, and who shall comply with
the requirements of section one of said act, may continue in practice;

Whereas Abram P. Myers was a practical veterinarian at that time,
and had practiced his profession in this state for twenty years or more
prior to the first day of May, eighteen hundred and ninety-six, and not
having seen said act of February twenty-seventh, eighteen hundred and
ninety-six, or had any knowledge of its provisions, failed to apply before
the first day of November, eighteen hundred and ninety-six, to the state
board of veterinary examiners for a certificate, without fee, allowing him
to continue in practice without having to undergo an examination, as
provided in section one of said act; and
; Whereas the people of his county need and desire his services; there-
ore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assemblv of Virginia, That the said
Abram P. Myers be, and is hereby, authorized and empowered to prac-
tice veterinary medicine and surgery in the county of Rockingham.
2. The secretary of the veterinary state board is hereby authorized
to register the said Abram P. Mvers as a veterinarian.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
