Chap. 338.—An ACT to prohibit the taking of fish in Goose creek, in the
counties of Fauquier and Loudoun, above Oatlands, with a seine or other
device except hook and line or dip-net.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful to take any fish from Goose creek or its tributaries above
Oatlands, in the counties of Loudoun and Fauquier, by means of seines,
traps, or any device except hook and line or dip-net.
2. Any person violating the provisions of the preceding section of this
act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof
shall be fined not less than five dollars or more than twenty dollars
for each offense, one-half of said fine to go to the informer, and upon
failure to pay such fine, the person or persons so offending may be con-
fined in the county jail not exceeding thirty days.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
