Chap. 308.—An ACT to provide for the payment of twenty dollars to H. H.
Dickinson, assignee of J. F. Smith, out of state school fund of Irventon
school district, in the county of Dickenson.
Approved February 9, 1900.
Whereas J. M. Thornburg, county superintendent of public free
schools, for the county of Dickenson on the nineteenth day of January,
eighteen hundred and eighty-six, issued his draft on the treasurer of
Dickenson county for twenty dollars, pavable to J. F. Smith, out of the
state school fund, allotted to Irventon district of said county, which was
afterwards, and before pavment thereof, assigned to H. H. Dickinso::
and
Whereas said draft has not been paid to H. H. Dickinson for want
of funds to pay the same; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the su-
perintendent of schools for the county of Dickenson be, and he is hereby,
directed to take up and cancel said draft, and issue to H. H. Dickinson.
assivnee of J. F. Smith, a new draft on the treasurer of said county, for
twenty dollars, pavable out of the state school fund of Irventon district,
of said county bearing date as of the date of the issue of said new draft.
2. Vhis act shall be in force from its passage.
