Chap. 2.—An ACT to regulate the sale of cider and other intoxicants in the
village of Palmyra, Fluvanna county, Virginia.

1. Be it enacted hv the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall be
unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, partnership or association
to sell or offer for sale in the village of Palmyra, Fluvanna county,
Virginia, or within one mile thereof, any cider or other intoxicant by
retail or to be drunk where sold.
Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less
than twenty nor more than fifty dollars for each offence, and be confined
in jail not exceeding thirty days. One half of the fine to go to the
informer and one half to the commonwealth.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
