Chap. 197.—An ACT to allow Captain N. B. Rich to erect a wharf or pier
in Assateague harbor, Accomac county, Virginia.

1. Be it enacted hy the general assembly of Virginia, That Captain
N. B. Rich be, and he is hereby, authorized and permitted to erect a
wharf or pier upon the public ground in Lynn’s cove, and fronting
Assateague harbor, bearing south two and one-eighth statute miles from
Assateague heach life-saving station, and five (5) statute miles east bv
south from Wallops beach life-saving station, with a water-front of one
hundred and fifty feet in water, twelve feet depth at mean low tide, and
extending back to ordinary low water mark, subject to all the laws of the
state governing all wharves or piers erected on the waters of the com-
monwealth: and provided also, that this act shall at all times be under
control of the general assembly ahd be amended or repealed as may be
deemed proper.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
