Chap. 177.—An ACT to amend section 1, chapter 517, acts 1897-’98, to prevent
hogs from running at large in the county of Russell.

In effect January 25, 1900.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
one of chapter five hundred and seventeen, acts of eihteen hundred and
ninety-seven and ninety-cight. he amended so as to read as follows:

$1. It shall be unlawful for the owner of hogs in the county of Rus-
sell, to allow the same to run at large upon the public roads anvwhere
within said county, and the owner of such hogs, upon conviction thereof,
shall be fined by any justice of the peace of said county in a sum not
less than two nor exceeding five dollars.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
