Chap. 1482.—An ACT for the relief of C. T. Robertson.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas C. T. Robertson, of the county of Franklin, was a soldier in
the late Confederate service, and while on duty was wounded in the
hand so as to lose three fingers of his right hand, and make necessary
his discharge from service; and
Whereas he is now old, poor, and needy, disabled from manual labor
by the above wounds, and suffering from the effect of hardship received
while in the war, and was true and loyal to Virginia; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the county
court of the county of Franklin is empowered to inquire into the facts in
this case, and if it certifies that the above facts are correctly given, and
also attest to the extent of the injuries received, showing that this is a
worthy case for relief, the auditor of public accounts is hereby directed
to list the said C. T. Robertson to receive a pension of fifteen dollars
a year as a disabled Confederate soldier.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
