Chap. 1477.—An ACT for the relief of Charles L. Mitchell, an ex-Confederate
soldier.

Whereas Charles L. Mitchell, an ex-Confederate soldier of Bedford
county while a member of company F, twenty-eighth Virginia regi-
ment was wounded in the left arm at Hatcher’s Run, in eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-five and has been unable to do any work for over two
years; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That when
the judge of the county court certifies to the auditor of public accounts
that the statement contained in the preamble of this act are true,
then the said auditor is hereby directed to place the name of Charles
L. Mitchell on the pension list with those receiving fifteen dollars per
year and pay him annually that amount.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
