Chap. 1471.—An ACT for the relief of Mrs. Hardin Hodges.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Hardin Hodges, of Franklin county, was a Confederate
soldier in the late war, and on account of wounds received in service
was drawing a pension of fifteen dollars a year; and
Whereas at his death he left a widow who is old and poor, and re-
quires for her support the small amount which a pension of fifteen
dollars a year would give her; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
county court for the county of Franklin shall investigate the foregoing
statements, and if it certifies that upon the evidence it is satisfied that
the above recitals are facts, and that it is a deserving case for a pension,
then the auditor of public accounts is directed to place Mistress Hardin
Hodges upon the pension roll to receive a pension of fifteen dollars per
vear.
- 2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
