Chap. 1470.—An ACT for the relief of Skelton Coleman.

Whereas Skelton Coleman, of the county of Franklin, was a soldier
in the Confederate army, and while on duty was wounded in both legs
by a rifle bullet, as a result of which his ability to do manual labor has
been seriously impaired; and
Whereas he is now old and feeble physically and in need of a pension
for his support; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
county court of the county of Franklin is directed to inquire into this
case, and if the said court upon the evidence before it certifies that the
above allegations are sustained, and this is a proper case for a pen-
sion, then the auditor of public accounts be, and he hereby is, directed
to list the said Skelton Coleman for a pension of fifteen dollars, to be
paid him annually.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
