Chap. 1468.—An ACT for the relief of Mrs. Isaac Parcell.

Whereas Isaac Parcell was a Confederate soldier of Virginia, and
was a true and gallant soldier during the said war; was loyal to Vir-
ginia; and
Whereas he died shortly after the war, leaving a widow who is now
dependent and penniless; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
county court of Franklin county shall examine into the condition of
the above-named widow of said Parcell, and should it be that he was
true and loyal to Virginia through the war, and that she is now depen-
dent and penniless, and should receive aid from Virginia, and if the
county court of said county certifies to the auditor of public accounts
that the above recitals are true, then the said auditor is directed to
place the name of Mistress Isaac Parcell on the pension list, and pay
her annually the sum of fifteen dollars, on and after the first day of
April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
