Chap. 1467.—An ACT for the relidf of Elmira Elmore, widow of a deceased
Confederate soldier.

Whereas Jacob Elmore, of the county of Giles, served in the late
‘ar as a member of forty-sixth Virginia regiment, and was a faithful
nd valiant soldier; and
Whereas he has died leaving a widow who is now living but is old,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Elmira
Elmore, widow of the aforesaid Jacob Elmore, shall be placed upor
the pension rolls of this state to receive a pension of fifteen dollar
per year: provided, that the county court of the said county shall have
certified to the auditor of public accounts that the foregoing recitals
are true. Upon the receipt of such certificate the said auditor is di-
rected to place the name of Elmira Elmore on the pension roll, and pa}
her a pension of fifteen dollars per annum.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
