Chap. 1429.—An ACT for the relief of J. S. Parson, a Confederate soldier, of
I Rockbridge county.

Whereas J. S. Parson, of Rockbridge county, was a true and loval
soldier of Virginia, in the military service of the Confederate states,
and is now old and feeble and unahle to work; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
proof before the county court of Rockbridge county of the foregoing
facts, and a certificate of the same by said court to the auditor of public
accounts, said auditor shall place the name of the said J. 8S. Parson
upon the pension roll, and there shall then be paid to the said J. 8.
Parson annually the sum of fifteen dollars out of the treasury of the
state, upon the warrant of the auditor of public accounts, on and after
April first, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
