Chap. 1416.—An ACT for the relief of S. J. Maupin, a disabled Confederate
soldier. ‘
Approved March 7, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts shall place S. J. Maupin on the pension list
as entitled to receive a pension of fifteen dollars a year on account o
being rendered helpless and unable to support himself from diseas
and disability contracted in the military service of the Confederat
states during the civil war. But before said S. J. Maupin shall b
entitled to be so listed, he shall establish the above facts by adequat
proof before the county court of James City county and city of Wil
liamsburg, and file the same with the said auditor of public accounts.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
