Chap. 1369.—An ACT for the relief of Frederick Harvey Embry.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Frederick Harvey Embry, a disabled Confederate soldier of
company D, fourth Virginia cavalry, was a true and gallant soldier
during the war, was loyal to Virginia; and _
Whereas he is now suffering trom the following disability—to wit:
Hernia, on account of which disease he is totally unable to perform
manual labor; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the county
court of Fauquier county shall examine into the condition of the above-
named Frederick Harvey Embry, a Confederate soldier, and should it
be that he was true and loyal to Virginia through the war, and that he
is now afflicted and totally incapacitated for manual Jabor on aecount
of the above-named disease, that he is poor and needy and should re-
ceive aid from Virginia, and if the county court of Fauquier county
should send a certificate of the facts to the auditor of public accounts
of Virginia, then the auditor of public accounts is directed to place
the name of Frederick Harvey Embry on the pension list and pay him
annually fifteen dollars for total disability on and after April first,
nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
