Chap. 1360.—An ACT to relieve John W. Lawman, a disabled Confederate
soldier.

Whereas John W. Lawman, a disabled Confederate soldier of com-
pany H, nineteenth Virginia regiment; and
Whereas he is now suffering from the following disability—to wit:
A wound received in ankle; said wound renders him totally unable to
perform manual labor at times, and causes continual suffering; there-
fore,
_ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the county
court of Amherst county shall examine into the condition of the above-
named John Lawman; and should it be that the above statement is true,
and if the county court of Amherst should send a certificate of the facts
to the auditor of public accounts of Virginia, then the auditor of public
accounts is directed to place the name of John W. Lawman upon the
pension list, and pay him annually the sum of fifteen dollars on and
after April first, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
