Chap. 1353.—An ACT for the relief of Mrs. J... A. Green, the widow of a
Confederate soldier, of Nottoway county.

Whereas J. C. Green, a true, loval, and brave Confederate soldier of
Nottoway county, served throughout the war between the states in Com-
panv H, fifty- ninth regiment, Vi irginia volunteers, and was discharged
at close of war broken down in health, and suffering from disease from
which he subsequently died, leaving his widow, Mistress L. A. Green,
to whom he was married in eighteen hundred and fifty-five, old, help-
less, homeless, and destitute; therefore,
1. Be it enacted bv the general assembly of Virginia, That on proof
of the alleged facts before the county court of Nottoway, and the cer-
tification of same to the auditor of public accounts, the name of Mistress
L. A. Green shall be placed on the pension rolls of Virginia.
2. This act shall be in force from April first, nineteen hundred.
