Chap. 1337.—An ACT for the relief of Hamilton Clatterbuck, a disabled
Confederate soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Hamilton Clatterbuck, a disabled Confederate soldier, is
suffering from total blindness, and was a true and gallant soldier dur-
ing the war, and was loyal to Virginia; therefore,
1. Be it enacted bv the general assembly of Virginia, That the
county court of Rappahannock shall examine into the condition of the
above-named Hamilton Clatterbuek, a Confederate soldier, and should
it be found that he was true and loyal to Virginia through the war,
and that he is now afflicted and disabled, and incapacitated for manual
lahor by reason of injury, disease, or old age, that he is needy and poor,
and should receive aid from Virginia, and if the county court of Rap.
pahannock shall send a certificate of the fact to the auditor of public
accounts in Virginia, then the auditor of public accounts is directed
to place the name of Hamilton Clatterbuck on the pension list, and
pay him annually the sum of fifteen dollars, on and after the first
day of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
