Chap. 1313.—An ACT for the relief of William Ingram, a disabled Confed-
erate soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas William Ingram, a disabled Confederate soldier of company
, fifty-sixth regiment of Virginia infantry, was a true and gallant
oldier during the late war; was loyal to Virginia; and
Whereas he is now suffering from the followi ing disability—to wit:
Injury to arm while w orking In pioneer corps 1n “Chesterfield county,
hich is now growing daily worse, and is now such as incapacitates him
rom using it in labor; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
ounty court of Hanover shall examine into the condition of the above-
amed William Ingram, a Confederate soldier; and should it be that
e was true and loyal to Virginia through the war, and that he is now
tHicted and poor, and in need of assistance, and incapacitated for
anual labor; that he is needy and poor, and should receive aid from
irginia; and if the county court of Hanover should send a certificate
f the facts to the auditor of public accounts of Virginia, then the
uditor of public accounts is directed to place the name of William
ngram on the pension list, and pay him annually the sum of fifteen
ollars on and after the first day of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
