Chap. 1304.—An ACT for the relief of E. F. Smith, a disabled Confederate
soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas E. F. Smith, of Appomattox county, a Confederate soldier,
was disabled in the war between the states while in the discharge of his
duty; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virgjnia, That upon
proofs of the above facts before the county court of Appomattox, and
the certificate of the judge of above court to the state auditor, then the
auditor of public accounts be, and is hereby, directed to place the name
of the said Kk. F. Smith upon the pension rolls of Virginia, and pay
to him annually the sum of fifteen dollars out of any money in the
state’s treasury not otherwise appropriated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
