Chap. 1279.—An ACT for the relief of C. C. Reedy, a Confederate soldier.

Whereas C. C. Reedy, of Grayson county, was a true and loyal Con-
federate soldier of Virginia, in the military service of the Confederate
states, and contracted disease by reason of his service which totally
disabled him from manual labor, and is financially destitute; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
proof before the county court of Grayson county of the foregoing facts,
and the certificate of the same by the said court to the auditor of public
accounts, the auditor shall place the name of the said C. C. Reedy upon
the pension roll, and there shall be paid to the said C. C. Reedy
annually the sum of fifteen dollars out of the treasury of the state,
upon the warrant of the auditor of public accounts, on and after the
first day of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
