Chap. 1231.—An ACT for the relief of Henry A. Anders, a Confederate soldie:

Whereas Henry Anders, of Grayson county, was a true and loys
soldier of Virginia in the military service of the Confederate state:
and contracted disease by reason of his service, although he has bee
able to secure a scant living to the present time, he is now seventy-tw
years of age and unable to earn a living hereafter; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon proc
before the county court of Grayson county of the foregoing facts, an
the certificate of the same by said court to the auditor of public account
said auditor shall place the name of the said Henry Anders upon th
pension list, and there shall be paid to the said Henry Anders annual
the sum of fifteen dollars out of the treasury of the state, upon th
warrant of the auditor of public accounts, on and after April first nin
teen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
