Chap. 1225.—An ACT for the relief of Van F. Clark and H. L. Bruer, Confed-
erate soldiers, of Lunenburg county.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Van F. Clark and Wf. TL. Bruer, of Lunenburg county, were
true, Joyal, and brave Confederate soldiers, and received in battle
wounds for which they are now receiving from the state of Virginia the
sum of fifteen dollars per annum as pensions, but owing to increased
disability from the wounds and old age the said pensions are wholly
unreasonable and insignificant; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the eencral assembly of Virginia, That on the
certification of the alleged facts by the county court of Lunenburg the
auditor of public accounts be, and is hereby, directed to increase the
pensions of said Van F. Clark and H. L. Bruer to the sum of fifteen
dollars annually from April first, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
