Chap. 11.—An ACT to suspend for forty days the operation of section 666
of the code of 1887, as amended by an act approved February 11, 1898,
in relation to delinquent lands purchased in the name of the auditor of the
commonwealth.

1. Be it enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That an act
approved February eleventh, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, entitled
‘“an act to amend an re-enact section six hundred and sixty-six of the
eode of Virginia, as amended and re-enacted by an act approved March
fifth, eighteen hundred and ninety-one, in relation to delinquent lands
purchased in the name of the auditor, and as amended and re-enacted by
an act approved January twenty-ninth, eighteen hundred and ninety-six,
entitled an act to amend and re-enact section six hundred and sixty-six
of the code of Virginia, as amended and re-enacted by an act approved
March fifth, eighteen hundred and nincty-four, in relation to delinquent
lands purchased in the name of the auditor,” be, and is hereby, suspended
in its operation for a period of forty days from the date of the passage
of this act: provided, that nothing contained in this act shall be con-
strued as applying to applications filed before this act goes into effect.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
