Chap. 1080.—An ACT for the relief of Joseph Crouch, a Confederate soldier.

Whereas Joseph Crouch, of Fairfax county, was a true and loval
Confederate soldier, that he is more than sixty-four years of age; that
he has been for several years, and is still, an invalid from injuries
sustained while in the Confederate army; that he is in destitute circum-
stances, and unable to perform sufficient work whereby he can maintain
himself without assistance—
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon proof
of the foregoing facts before the county court of Fairfax county, and
the certificate of the same to the auditor of public accounts, the said
auditor shall place the name of the said Joseph Crouch upon the pension
list of the state and pay to him annually the sum of fifteen dollars on
and after the first day of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
